Rotary Table Systems

One of our most common Robotic Welding Systems is a Twin Vertical Rotary Table Unit.

As can be seen in the model, the system has a set of two rotary tables. Each table holds a Jig which is bolted between the two disks (light green in the model). The Jig then holds the work piece to be welded, enabling the work to be rotated around a horizontal axis.

The Tables are controlled via the robot, and their movement can easily be programmed into each robot "job" by the customer.
We provide either VSD (variable speed drive) or servo driven units.

VSD unit features:

  • Economical - The drive system (ie motor, drive and interface) is approximately half the cost of an equivalent servo drive.
  • The tables are indexed to one of eight positions
  • They are relatively simple and robust

Servo driven unit features:

  • The table can be rotated to any angle
  • The movement of the Table can be co-ordinated with the movement of the robot. This gives the ability, for example, to perform continuous welds while rotating the work
  • These units are more costly than the VSD units
The VSD systems are our most common. They provide value for money and the flexibilty needed for most welding applications.

In addition to mounting jigs to the rotary tables, jigs can also be mounted to the main frame, as is done with our fixed table systems.
